    The Senior Director of Cell Line Development at Cytiva is tasked with spearheading the viral vector cell line development sector, fostering ongoing improvement, and ultimately ensuring enduring business prosperity.
    This role is part of the Viral Vector branch within the Genomic Medicine Operating Company situated in Cologne, Germany, and requires on-site presence. At Cytiva, our mission is to propel upcoming therapeutics from exploration to delivery.
    What you will be responsible for:
    • Facilitate a seamless integration into Cytiva and Danaher by demonstrating leadership across functions, while safeguarding, preserving, and enriching Cevec's highly innovative culture
    • Lead the cell line development team to ensure timely and satisfactory delivery of customer projects. Conduct customer audits as needed
    • Inspire and cultivate a culture of continuous enhancement within your team using DBS to uphold our world-leading cell line development offerings
    • Offer guidance and direction to all staff members at the site
    • Drive talent management forward to guarantee ongoing development for direct reports. Collaborate closely with the HR department to enhance organizational capabilities through succession planning, organizational evaluation, identification of crucial skill gaps, talent acquisition, and talent development strategies aligned with business objectives.
    • Communicate values, strategies, and goals within the facility. Effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including the leadership team, team members, vendors, and clients.
    • Ensure adherence to local safety regulations and foster a safety-conscious culture, responsible for implementing and upholding safety protocols to safeguard employees and the environment. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
    Qualifications we are looking for:
    • Master's Degree, Ph.D., or equivalent in relevant life sciences with over 15 years of experience in commercial roles, product development, strategic planning, and general management within the Life Sciences sector.
    • Decision-making based on data, proven track record in developing business cases or strategic propositions.
    • Proficient in financial modeling, establishing trust with clients, key opinion leaders, internal stakeholders, and ability to engage with senior executives at global accounts.
    • Experienced leader capable of growing and scaling businesses and talent, having managed expert functional teams and leaders.
    Strong advantage if you have previous experience in:
    • Viral Vector/Genomic Medicine workflows and licensing/services value propositions
    • Leading cell line development teams
