We are currently looking for a
Financial Controller for our office in
Düsseldorf, Germany to take ownership and ensure accurate, complete, and timely execution of month-end, quarter-end, and annual closing in accordance with group deadlines and policies in collaboration with the team in COE LT.

Additionally you will also manage relationships and act as the point of contact with internal and external parties (e.g., banks, tax authorities, auditors etc).


Responsibilities:


  • Analyse and approve balance sheet reconciliations done by the CoE
  • Prepare country specific BS reconciliations
  • Report and signoff in AARO, Adra and BI
  • Responsibility for second approval of outgoing payments (e.g., AP, Payroll, tax, other manual bank payments)
  • Responsibility for P/L and Balance Sheet review, incl fluctuation analysis per legal entity in scope
  • Complying with internal controls and policies and identifying and supporting in continuous improvement opportunities within the finance function
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and if applicable local GAAP and bridges between the two
  • Responsibility and support with TAX and VAT compliance

Requirements:


  • University degree or similar in Finance/Accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Deep understanding of endtoend processes such as Order to cash, Purchase to pay and Record to Report
  • Experience with German GAAP, IFRS and Accounting
  • Practical experience with VAT returns process and recapitulative statements
  • Fluent in German, good working knowledge of English
  • Experience with Financial internal controls and risk mitigation
  • Expertise in Local tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and changing environment
  • Professional and collaborative individual that enjoys working as part of a team as well as independently
