As an Assistant Buyer at Zalando Streetwear you are part of a high performing and target driven team.

Through your industry and market knowledge and passion for Streetwear and Street Culture, you are creating new and innovative ways to connect Consumers to Streetwear.

You will plan, buy and develop your own small brand portfolio, taking ownership and accountability of performance KPIs and communicating Zalando strategy to your brand partners.

You support the team with marketing and trend topics, therefore contributing to the creative and commercial strategy of the unit.

You also have close exchange with our marketing and onsite teams to create the most relevant and inspiring onsite content and experience for our Streetwear customers.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

:


  • Ensuring that all necessary operational processes are completed at high quality, with proficiency in using our Buying tools and software necessary for order raising.
  • Next to your operational work, you will start to learn to plan, buy and develop your own assortment area, taking ownership and accountability of performance KPIs and communicating the Zalando strategy to a small set of brand partners.
  • You will have ownership of most of the team's marketing and trend topics e.g. regular trend deep dives, requesting keystyles, tracking special drops, and alignment with the marketing/ onsite team. Therefore contributing to the creative and commercial strategy of the business unit.
  • Preparation of productbased analysis for trading decisions and proposals for the assortment selection as well as line plans of your unit. Furthermore, gradually joined strategic and trading meetings independently for a selection of brands
  • Support your team in operational and functional matters, by creating, maintaining, & sending/canceling orders and making sure all necessary steps are followed through
  • First contact person for our complex base of multiple suppliers, next to our buyers, supporting in the setup and maintenance of condition contracts with them
  • Work closely with our planning team in order to ensure that our products are available for purchase

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

:


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Fashion Management, or an education in a similar area
  • You have basic knowledge and first experience (+ 1 year) in Buying on an assistant level and passion and interest for the world of ecommerce, preferably having a background within Streetwear
  • Thriving in fastpaced environments, embracing collaboration, and acting proactively. Organizing your workload efficiently, ensuring tasks are ready on time, accurate, and prioritised accordingly
  • Knowledge in MS Office, Google Tools, and combining the passion for numbers with fashion. Moreover, you have a strong understanding of trends and products, especially at Europeanmarket.
