Position Summary

The _Supply_ _Chain_ function is responsible for all S&OP, Planning, Customer Service, Master Data, _Procurement_ (Operational Buyers) and Inventory Control functions at Catalent, Schorndorf.

The position is responsible for overseeing all activities and personnel within the _Supply_ _Chain_ function providing leadership for Customer Services, Planning, S&OP, Master Data and Material Management.

Responsible for coordinating and implementing activities to attain strategic objectives within the department and looks to his or her direct supervisor or other peers within the industry for guidance.

In addition, the Director _Supply_ _Chain_ is able to establish goals and objectives, supervise work practices for direct reports, interprets and executes policies and procedures that typically affect organizational units.

At the senior level, this position requires extensive independent judgment, ability to interact with senior leadership, plan and execute site strategy aligned to corporate vison and objectives.

The Role

Develop and execute site _Supply_ _Chain_ strategy aligned with Business, _Operations_ and _Quality_ Strategy.
Manage _Commercial_ _supply_ agreements, ensure highest level of service levels and On Time Delivery to Customers.
Intervene and resolve current / upcoming servicing issues through strong cross functional S&OP process.
Manage the planning and S&OP function to ensure optimal processing of customer orders & ensure project management disciplines are followed to deliver 'quick to market' launches for new products.
Work closely with _operations_ and _quality_ to develop production/laboratory capacity plans and strategies for the medium and long term.
Negotiate and manage _supply_ agreements and coordinate _Supply_ _Chain_ related items with customers.
As the interface with the customer and _Operations_ Team, actively contribute to the _development_ and implementation of Catalent (Schorndorf) Logistics & Planning Strategy.
Other duties as assigned
BS degree; with 7 to 10 years' experience providing strategic and operational leadership in a customer driven planning and logistics environment. Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is highly preferred
Managing _Supply_ _Chain_ in an ERP environment (reputed systems like JD Edwards), system implementation experience preferred
Significant experience managing people and providing both tactical and strategic leadership to the organization and the site as a whole
As the interface with the customer and _Operations_ Team, actively contribute to the _development_ and implementation of Catalent (Schorndorf) Logistics & Planning Strategy.
Has the ability and qualities to develop longterm customer relationships, at an international level across different cultures
Strong ERP system acumen to help integrate and improve end to end processes, improve compliance and controls.
