Your contribution to TenneT:


Purpose of the Department


The department Project & Maintenance Engineering is accountable for the portfolio management & the management system of Operations Offshore, for all project & maintenance engineering activities, for the
execution of special projects, for the
technical contract management for framework contracts, for the development & implementation control of new maintenance, operations &
logistics concepts to facilitate business excellence and for the
marine operations management Offshore, applicable for all Dutch and German assets handed over into custody and care of Operations Offshore.

Beside this, the department provides
centralized services to the operational departments accountable for the assets assigned to their Areas.

The main responsibilities and tasks of the department Project and Maintenance Engineering are:


  • Member of the
    Operations Offshore Leadership Team, actively contributing to and coowning the
    unit strategy development reporting to the (Associate) Director Grid Field Operations Offshore
-
Leading a team of
9 Team Managers (Leads) and approximately
130 department members, especially motivation, inspiring, coaching and development of people

  • Actively contributing to establishing a
    top class safety culture and an environment in which it is possible for everyone to go home safe every day
  • Accountable for the
    unit strategy implementation in time and quality, in close collaboration with the Operations departments. The strategy focus for the next years is
    establishing and gaining stability to our core business processes as well as obtaining musthave efficiency gains, based on and facilitated by an exceptional team cohesion people make it happen

Coordination of all business
portfolio management activities, such as business planning & controlling

  • Establishing and maintaining the
    Operations Management System framework, processes and requirements
  • Custodian of the Management System Operations Offshore
  • Development and implementation of
    riskbased maintenance engineering standards & plans based on equipment maintenance strategy of Asset Management
  • Riskbased planning & execution of special
    category 3 projects and
    crossarea projects, including project tendering, detailed engineering and execution
  • Development of operations, maintenance and logistics
    concepts to facilitate and drive business excellence:
  • Management of
    asset data and documentation as well as development and implementation of new data/documentation management concepts
  • Engineering & operational engineering
    support for systems & equipment, which require senior engineering knowhow and expertise

Coordination of marine operations and safe execution of logístical activities

Technical contract management (framework contracts), contract performance management and category management (supported by procurement)


Your profile and background:


  • High level of academic working and thinking level and a
    relevant university degree in
    electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering or compareable. You hold preferably a masters degree in
    Business Administration or
    advanced courses (profound experiences) in leading a department/team
  • Experience in sectors like Energy and Technology with complex business cases and staff in different locations
  • More than 10 yrs.
    working experience in general and more than 5 yrs. in a
    leading position proven track record in business performance management and business performance improvement
