Duties:

*This position is part of the newly formed Russia Support Unit, hosted under RSC Frankfurt. It will provide remote management support to Mission Russia*This position virtually supports the Moscow HRO section. Under the guidance of the Russia Support Unit Human Resources (HR) Officer, the HR Assistant is responsible for managing a variety of human resources projects and programs for the U.S. Embassy Moscow and its three constituent posts. The incumbent manages the Student Intern and Overseas Seasonal Hire programs, administers FSI language tests, and provides support for various aspects of HR programs for American employees. The HR Assistant is cross-trained in the full range of duties of a second HR Assistant and the Office Management Specialist (OMS) in order to serve as a backup and ensure ongoing quality of service for customers. HR Assistant advises the HRO/Management on HR policies, programs, and workforce planning for post by reviewing and balancing USG laws and regulations as needed.
Note - security requirements in Moscow are such that all American personnel work must be performed by cleared Americans.


Qualifications and Evaluations:

EXPERIENCE:

Two (2) years experience in office administration, human resources, business administration, health management or customer service related field is required.

Mandatory:

  • Two (2) years of college education is required.

LANGUAGE:
English (Fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
This may be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint programs.
  • Ability to explain technical material and regulatory guidance.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
