Your Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Platform Owner for our Cloud platforms to join Symrise IT Data center & Cloud team In this role, you will help us implement our multi-cloud strategy to introduce the best solutions into the Symrise environment.

You will work hand to hand with Symrise Business, IT Departments, and our external Partners to provide the best service experience.

Our data center & cloud services are the foundation for our central and regional business needs. With our focus on transparency, efficiency, and resilience our stakeholders are enabled for taking the best approaches needed
for their business.

Expecting great communication skills and empathy you will help us line out a roadmap for the evolution of the data center & cloud services while simultaneously focusing on cost development and optimizations.

This position is accountable to own one or several Cloud platforms. You will be able to leverage our partners' ecosystems, to execute our strategy. We need to think globally, act fast, remove barriers, and communicate broadly.

Technical Lead of the "Cloud Platform"
Support the Platform owner and Team lead in technical recruitment
Collaborating with their team to identify and fix technical problems
Guiding their team through technical issues and challenges
Conducting security audits to identify areas of improvement
Preparing technical training and enablement
You write wellstructured, efficient, and maintainable code
Actively keep the quality of the codebase in check
Align across solutions to manage interdependencies, eliminate redundancies, and accelerate reuse
Draft architectural decisions and ensure reliable and stateoftheart Solutions
Building the technical solution architecture based on IAAS (e.g. Infrastructure as Code)
Participation in international projects including takeover project responsibility (partly/full)
Driving excellence in product and platform automation for AWS, Azure, and GCP
Work in close collaboration with various other teams
Tracking market trends and stateoftheart solutions and benchmarking (e.g. Infrastructure as Code)
Analyzing existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements

About You

Degree as a computer scientist, Systems engineer or comparable education
4 years of experience with any Cloud hyperscaler & infrastructure
Confident in using Terraform, Go, Python, Git, Kubernetes, generic Monitoring Solutions
Broad knowledge in XaaS, network

- and security services

Deep knowledge in cloud technologies
High communicative competence, also in an international environment and a Can-Do attitude
Sound experience in Cloud Solutions and Microsoft Collaboration Tools (e.g. MS-Teams, Sharepoint)
Initiative and ability to deal with conflict
Transformation Mindset
Experience in IT transformations
Knowledge of various operating systems and platforms
Knowledge of information technology principles, concepts, and techniques
Ability to work with crossfunctional teams and translate requirements between business, project management, and technical projects or programs
Ability to operate successfully in a lean, agile, and fastpaced organization and own and drive the solution architecture definition
Fluent in written and spoken English
Other foreign language skills would be an advantage (e.g. German / French / Spanish)
