Job Description:

As team lead of our new Data Integration & Management Team you will play a key role in Scalable's data journey.

This team has a two-fold mission: On the one hand, the team is responsible for bringing data products (e.g. machine learning models) into production. Furthermore, providing software solutions allowing for smooth implementation of regulatory data-related requirements (as e.g. data protection required data deletions) in the Engineering Department belongs to the core competences.

Thus, this team constitutes an essential bridge between data teams, other engineering teams and business as well as legal departments.

This is a great opportunity for a professional with strong people management skills and a passion for data as well as software development.

Key responsibilities:

Manage a motivated agile team with highly ambitious and skilled people in our growing data department
Bring data projects to production and reveal real business value
Provide software solutions for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements around data for the Engineering Department (e.g. GDPR required deletions)
Create and execute the team's roadmap in coordination with stakeholders from different departments
Drive technical excellence within the team, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards and engineering guidelines
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define project scope, goals and deliverables
Work closely together with data scientists and data engineers as well as other engineering teams
Collaborate with IT, security & legal teams to ensure data security and privacy compliance
Be a translator between technical and business departments
Coordinate stakeholders and drive collaboration within the Engineering Department & crossdepartment
Be a people manager and mentor and support your team members to reach their full potential

Qualifications:

University degree in computer science, engineering, natural science, mathematics or similar field
Several years of agile software engineering experience
Experience in leading a developer team
Experience in developing code and building infrastructure on AWS
Programming expertise in Java/Kotlin, JavaScript, Python
Basic understanding of regulatory data topics such as data protection and security
Motivation to implement regulatory requirements
Project management experience
Experience in integrating results of machine learning & AI projects into production services is a plus
Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics expertise is a plus
Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills, ability to prioritise tasks and make informed judgments in a fastpaced environment
