Position Summary:

The primary role of the DACH Accounting & Finance Associate Director is to lead all Finance related deliverables which include Accounting, Payroll, Tax and Financial Planning and analysis related activities for Germany, Austria and the local Swiss affiliate (to be established).

The position will report to the Senior Director, International Finance located in Switzerland.

The role will also have a dotted line and support the General Manager and be a member of the DACH Leadership team.

This individual will contribute as a strategic partner to the accomplishment of business plans.

The individual will ensure successful Accounting and FP&A activities in alignment with Group Financial Controlling processes and policies through appropriate business partnering with all key stakeholders (internal and external), mainly international accounting team and outsourced tax and payroll services.

The individual will get support for AP activities booking from Zug based office. In addition, the role will be key in supporting the International Finance function activities and processes.

Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to the following:

Support General Manager as a trusted Finance Business Partner to ensure successful launch of our first GA treatment
Supervise and be accountable for all transactional bookkeeping activities (AR, AP, Cash)
Responsible for monthend accounting close for statutory books and US GAAP adjustments
Preparation of quarterly accounts reconciliations and support annual audit.
Preparation of quarterly VAT/ submissions
Treasury management: Funding requests, cash flow management for the DACH region
Review and support payroll in collaboration with HR and external payroll provider for the DACH region
Collaborate with International and Global Corporate Finance on all Key Finance Controlling topics such as SOX compliance, implementation of group processes and internal controls.
Responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A
Budget, Long Range Planning, and Forecast Cycles) as well as ad hoc analytical work and presentations (i.e. Quarterly Business Reviews)
Support as needed the Director, International Financial Controller and Global Accounting team located in the US
Liaise with Regional HR on HR related matters (Compensation & Benefits, Hiring Plan)
Support General Manager & Local Team on ad hoc projects (Geographic expansion, Office move)

Education, Registration & Certification:

Degree in Accounting (Master or higher) with strong knowledge of IFRS Accounting standards
Accounting Certification type ACCA, CPA or other recognized strongly preferred
German and English fluent

Experience and Skills:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance Management and accounting Preferably in an international setting.
Hands on attitude and autonomous
Strong methodological, quantitative, and analytical skills combined with the ability to partner with various stakeholders from different functions
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, to plan and organize work assignments individually or in team settings
Experience in implementing key projects supporting the Finance organization
Experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred
