Responsibilities:


  • Take responsibility and lead sourcing activities in the categories CAPEX (construction, building services, equipment), Technical Operations (indirect laboratory and factory supplies) and Facility Management.
  • Ensure competitive bidding and deliver ontime, oncost and onquality Procurement results to projects.
  • Manage the relationship with suppliers and internal customers, as well as all relevant internal stakeholders (e.g. Legal, PMO).
  • Liaise with internal customers and establish a robust & efficient collaborative working interface.
  • Maintain close contact to Operational Procurement for best end2end Procurement performance.
  • Negotiate individual, project related contracts (HOAI, VOB, BGB) with suppliers, as well as frame contracts where beneficial.
  • Develop Procurement Strategies for assigned categories and deploy within the region (EU).
  • Analyze spend data, benchmark services and monitor relevant supply markets.
  • Monitor performance of key suppliers within projects from a risk management perspective.
  • Collaborate with regions and affiliates to deliver Procurement services.
  • Contribute to Procurement success with savings, customer satisfaction, risk mitigation or fulfilling defined KPI ́s.
  • Identify process improvement potential and lead optimization initiatives.
  • Maximize utilization of implemented tools and services.
  • Respect defined regulatory requirements (e.g. Purchasing Policy, compliance, third party due diligence), guidelines and processes.

Qualification:


  • Degree in Engineering (e.g. Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering), Business Administration or relevant & proven experience
  • Strong expertise and working history (> 10 years) preferred
  • Proven background (5 years +) and experience in Strategic Purchasing
  • Strong negotiation skills, supplemented with contract & legal knowledge
  • Intercultural understanding and strong customer service orientation
  • Integer team player and reliable partner with very good communication skills and "can do" attitude
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, open for all business relevant topics and willingness to challenge "as is" process in order to add value
  • IT Tools: MS Office, SAP MM, eSourcing (Coupa) and affinity to digital tools
  • Good knowledge in managing procurement subprojects (as part of the main project)
  • Fluent in German and English
