Beschreibung
As part of a project, a complex mixed-signal ASIC was designed and manufactured.

For test purposes, the ASIC is glued onto a printed circuit board (PCB) via chip-on-board assembly and connected to it via bonds.

Extensive measurement equipment and a test concept are available for the test.

Pure hardware tests (analog boards), pure software tests (digital boards) as well as mixed hardware/software tests (digital and mixed-signal boards) are provided.

The Fraunhofer IPMS has been developing IP cores as well as complete digital and analog ASICs for many years. The task is processed in a professional laboratory environment with state-of-the-art measurement equipment and individual support.

What you will do

  • Construction of test circuits according to the test concept and if necessary external addition of further functionalities (sensors with digital interfaces)
  • Execution of the measurements
  • Evaluation, discussion and documentation of the results
The tasks can also be implemented as a
student assistant.

What you bring to the table

  • Studies in the field of electrical engineering, information systems engineering, computer science or a related field
  • First experiences working with circuit and measurement technology
  • Knowhow in programming is an advantage
  • Team spirit, initiative, independent work and curiosity as well as enthusiasm for working in a scientific environment
  • Good knowledge of English and basic knowledge of German or good knowledge of German
