Integrated into the team of the central administration of the research building for Intelligent Machine-Brain Interfacing Technology (IMBIT) at the campus Flugplatz, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the robots operated by the center.

In terms of activities, you will work closely with researchers from the Neurorobotics and Robot Learning research groups.

Activities for the position are:

Building and integrating robot hardware and sensors based on commercial components (e.g. cameras, LiDARs, GPS, IMU)
Building of mechanical and electrical constructions, power supply, cabling, PC connections, etc.
Development of drivers and autonomy software for robots
Maintaining robot hardware and software and performing updates regularly
Assist with robot experiments for research publications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in robotics, mechatronics, automation, computer science, or comparable fields
Knowledge of programming in the Robot Operating System (ROS), C/C++, and Python
Knowledge of robot integration and basic electronics
Very good communication skills with a strong team opentation for cooperation with scientists, students, and external partners
An independent, wellstructured way of working, as well as experience in organizational tasks
A good command of written and spoken English, German language skills would be appreciated

Remuneration according to E11 TV-L.The position can be remunerated up to TVL-E13 if personal and collective agreement requirements are met and if highervalue activities are temporarily transferred. We are seeking to fill this position permanently.
