Plant Engineering NCE is part of Service NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organization in installation and service of a great number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large sized wind power plants.

Our job is to turn a cluster of wind turbines into a power plant according to contractual and regional requirements.

In Plant Engineering, we are a team of Engineers and Specialists, both delivering, supporting, and improving on all parts of the Plant Solutions systems for our customers.

We support the whole value chain end-to-end both on sales, construction, and service.

Responsibilities

Take responsibility within the specialist technical area ensuring that NCE has tools and process to commission and operate plants effectively. Moreover, you need to arrange and host training sessions as applicable
Be technically on top of things within area of expertise. Meaning guiding others with belief and communicating technically complex topics to a wider audience in an understandable way
Act as daily stakeholder to VPS to achieve the above and secure that projects from VPS is delivered in a way that ensures operation and commissioning in effective way
Take ownership of technical issues, ensuring solutions using Vestas' process, and by orchestrating support from Lead Engineers as needed
Be external stakeholder to customers, authorities and others where needed to secure Vestas' position
Lead internal projects and be representing the department technically to management.
Be responsible for suggesting and coordinating the strategy that the dept. should take within the area of the specialist

Qualifications

At least 5 years' experience of working as a SCADA engineer, for instance in the wind industry
Relevant education within Automation or Information Technology or similar
Experience in commissioning and maintenance of server operating systems (Windows, Linux, VMware)
Experience with MS SQL is an advantage
Knowledge of networking and their configuration is an advantage
Experience working with wind turbines
Professional English skills, both verbal and written

Ability to perform effectively as part of an international team
Ability to work with limited supervision and in international teams
Ability to handle multiple assignments, organize and prioritize tasks with a skilled analytical and problemsolving approach and mindset
Comfortable communicating technical updates to a large organization and to customers
High attention to details and a solid commitment to quality

Additional information
The position is out of our offices in Hamburg, Germany.

You should expect to spend the majority of your working hours in these offices, but there is flexibility with working from home.

Moreover, you should expect up to 30 travel days a year.

Start date: 2st of January or 1st of February, 2023.
