AirHelp has grown to be the global leader supporting air passenger rights, helping travelers get compensation for delayed or canceled flights.

We have now reached a point where we are expanding our services with insurance products.

For this, we are looking for a world-class Director of Business Development to ramp up our sales work within insurance.


In this role, you will be able to make a huge impact on company revenue streams and utilize your pre-existing strong relations from both the online travel industry and insurance industry on a global scope.

Reports to the Chief Sales Officer.

Location:
Barcelona or Berlin


What you'll do:


  • Build relationships with major players in the travel and insurance industry to offer new value for air passengers globally.
  • Work closely with a multinational team of professionals across the company, playing a key role in ensuring our business partnerships are satisfactory and beneficial.
  • Utilize various platforms to successfully acquire new B2B customers from the industry.
  • Proactively participate in various industry events and conferences.
  • Enjoy a dynamic and flexible work environment, where you will be expected to be independent and take full charge of the tasks assigned.

Ideally, you'll bring with you:


  • At least 5 years of business development experience in the travel insurance industry.
  • Experience in working with Online Traveling Agencies or Travel Management Companies.
  • Knowledge of most efficient customer acquisition platforms (e.g. LinkedIn).
  • Proven experience in acquiring new customers.
