About the Role:

We are looking for a Factory Apparel Management Specialist (f/m/d) to join our Product Support team in Putzbrunn who will be responsible for providing factory management and garment manufacturability support to Gore Fabric business.

This is a temporary contract for 2 years.


This position will be located at our facility in Putzbrunn, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.


Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the factory management team for factory landscape management of GORE Certified Apparel manufacturers in EMEA region
  • Responsible for a robust GORE Certified Apparel manufacturers certification process and ensure that appropriate contracts are in place
  • Work closely with GORE Certified Apparel manufacturers to ensure that GORE-TEX garments are produced effectively to meet "Fit for Use" Gore Quality and manufacturing standards and ensure that new and existing GORE Certified Apparel manufacturers are being audited and meet Gore Social Responsibility requirements
  • Implementation of an effective and efficient and ongoing factory training program including Gore Quality & Manufacturing Standards, Branding, Gore Seam Sealing & Test Equipment
  • Transfer manufacturability findings to all teams and share the knowledge ("train the trainer")
  • Work closely with Global Garment Manufacturability teams and factories, gathering factory feedback for internal and external testing to translate new technologies into commercially viable functional garments, work with seam sealing team, testing new laminates and tapes with varied machine settings etc.
  • Identify manufacturing challenges and work together with the teams to find viable solutions specifically working closely with seam sealing team
  • Evaluate risk of manufacturing cost for new technologies, derivatives and modified products
  • Prepare training packages and technical data sheets with Global GM teams for giving support to the customers and factories (Training manual, TSR, MS etc.) for the bulk production

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree with preferably at least 5 years or more of Garment/ Textiles experience in Factory management and understanding of production organization in the sewing industry
  • IT and Software knowledge (Microsoft teams, outlook, centric, salesforce, etc.)
  • Excellent communication & presentation/ teaching skills with positive appearance to communicate openly with the global stakeholders and in international culture environments. Good in technical writing skills
  • Able to work alone as well as be a team player in an international culture environment
  • Selfmotivated, resilient, selfmanaged and selfconfident to think independently with excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and logístical mind & sensitive in numbers with ability of interpreting numbers into critical message
  • Solution oriented and creative problemsolving attitude, combined with the ability to prioritize and function well in fast paced operational environment
  • English and German are a must another foreign language would be a plus (Eastern European languages)
  • Willingness to travel globally 40% by road and air
  • Driving license

  • Able to work with regional and global teams as well as with factories in the EMEA region
  • Take key learnings and feedbacks from external business partners and sharing with the internal stakeholders (and visaversa)
  • Proven ability to influence and contribute without direction from leadership
  • Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore's remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed.
