Germany, Amplifon has the main office in Hamburg and operates with 2.000 dedicated professionals that empower people to discover all the emotions of sound.

The Strategic Buyer is responsible for the negotiation and execution of sourcing activities of the Indirect goods and/or services for the German perimeter.

The role will be reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement DE/CH, who is sitting in our Hamburg office.

Working closely with the procurement head and senior stakeholders, this role is expected to help identify and screen suppliers, develop strategic relationships, negotiate terms and conditions, and continuously drive improved supplier service levels through leadership and direction on a cross functional basisResponsibilities also include the monitoring of day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring a flawless P2P process and establishing routines for a continuous improvement.

The categories he/she will be covering will be (but not limited to) IT, Marketing, Fleet, Professional Services, Real Estate, Facility, Building & Constructions.

ey responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Collect and analyze spend data for the assigned categories.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that provide a competitive market advantage
  • Lead request for the best competitive bids and conduct bidding process, according to business needs.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and legal/finance department to implement compliant agreements.
  • Develop and foster strategic supplier relationships that deliver cost reduction, supply assurance, quality improvement and innovation
  • Ensure flawless P2P process & conduct risk analysis
  • Track the main KPIs.
  • Troubleshoot problems and resolve issues with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelors'/Masters' Degree
  • 2/5 years of Procurement/Strategic Sourcing experience in multicultural and complex environments.
  • Experience negotiating and finalizing business terms and conditions for supplier contracts.

Skills/Requirements:


  • Project and Program Management.
  • Strong knowledge of Office Suite, Oracle will be a plus.
  • Selfstarter, energetic and willing to leave a legacy.
  • Good English & German, both spoken and written.
  • Well organized and able to work under pressure.
