We are looking for a Strategic Marketing Lead (M/F/d)
to lead and develop our Strategic Marketing & Pricing team in Duesseldorf, Germany

This team is responsible for

  • Planning and implementing Marketing strategy and activities: deliver 25 year global strategic plans and growth strategy for the existing product portfolio, line extensions & new products, revenue and gross margin
  • Strategic planning and pricing: creating segment specific strategic planning road map (strategic pricing/value proposition differentiation)
  • Seamless collaboration with RPC Sales: work with Value Chain Development Managers to drive new customer acquisition and growing market share within key customers/segments.

The Strategic Marketing Lead is responsible for Neste's renewable and circular solutions' marketing in RPC globally, reporting to the Head of Marketing Excellence.

Your main responsibilities include

  • Developing and promoting understanding of unmet needs across the value chain, identifying what is valued by each customer downstream in order to create a pull through marketing strategy.
  • Leading global segmentation of the market by needs and defined target customers.
  • Communicating on a monthly basis the status of the market segments and how progress is being made towards the market share and profitability objectives.
  • Managing the product life cycle for the market/segment.
  • Driving strategic conversations with Long Term Strategy teams to set direction for RPC in the market/segment, utilising customer and market trends, feedback, and opportunities to create technology focus.
  • Leading the development and planning of the industry approach, modelling, and marketing communication(s).
  • Creating a leadership perception of Neste in the marketplace, participating in trade / organisation functions to develop business contacts and gathering market information, becoming an ambassador of Neste in the respective market.
  • Developing target pricing for the market/segment.
  • Driving measurement and tracking activities incl. market size, market share
  • Creating regional crossfunctional teams that work together to implement the marketing plan and coordinating globally the plan execution.

  • Good understanding of awareness building in new markets together with lead generation tactics and utilisation of data and analytics.
Team spirit and inspirational leadership style

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with an ability to adapt style to colleagues and partners
  • Ability to be a part of a virtual team and work with global guidelines and processes

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • University degree (MSc/PhD/MBA)
  • 510 years of work experience, including international experience
  • Practical experience in Marketing & Sales and/or Business Development
  • Experience in working in a global matrix organisation
  • Entrepreneurial, handson mentality and a creative mindset
We also value

  • Fluency in English is a requirement, other European languages would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with downstream marketing and joint marketing/cobranding with 3rd parties is a plus
