Your mission:

As Legal Counsel, you will handle all legal and compliance-related issues that arise in the DigitalService, help shape contracting with federal government entities, and support the CFO in building a modern and secure legal foundation for the DigitalService's work as the federal government's holding company.

Details about the role:

• You will independently handle all legal and compliancerelated issues in the company as a pragmatic generalist and also work with external service providers on a casebycase basis.
• You are a reliable and pragmatic advisor across all departments.
• You will work with the operational teams to build a culture of accountability and transparency and to make the legal framework of the public sector understandable, for example through workshops or with the help of our inhouse knowledge base.
• You will support the CFO in working with our partner:s in ministries and the product teams to design contracts that enable our agile and partnership delivery of software development projects.
• You will support the CFO in the organizational setup of the Legal & Compliance departments for the DigitalService.

Your Profile:

• You have a strong intrinsic motivation to use your professional experience and legal expertise to help drive the digitization and improvement of public services.
• You bring professional experience as a lawyer with a creative focus.
• You see yourself as a generalist with an excellent basic understanding of the law and have experience in making legal issues understandable for nonlawyers.
• You have a university degree in law (at least 1st state examination, Master's degree or comparable).
• Ideally, you have experience in the areas of compliance, IT/IP law, data protection, legal design thinking and/or the development of agile organizational structures or are looking forward to familiarizing yourself with these areas.
• You are creative and enthusiastic about shaping new things rather than managing them.
• You have a pragmatic approach and love to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
• You have the patience and stamina to navigate complex environments.
• You speak German and English at least at C1 level we speak both languages in our daily work.
