We are looking for a

Business Development Evangelist

(f/m/d) for our Grid Software Business Unit. This is an outstanding opportunity to craft the new business field of Digital Twins for electrical grid operators, co-innovating the next generation of grid management software with customers and partners and help integrate new products into the customer's IT landscape.-The role will be part of our NextGen Grid Management incubator that is responsible for the development of this new innovative portfolio and launches the new software products and solutions into the market. This agile and distributed team shapes the Siemens role in the evolving and dynamic market of IoT for network utilities. The team combines a start-up mentality and decision-making velocity with the capabilities and resources of a globally leading company.-

  • In your new position you participate in customer meetings to articulate use cases and benefits of our new innovative software product for DSOs
  • You identify and build high quality product prospects and leads and cultivate and develop the customer as part of the sales cycle
  • In addition, you represent Siemens in governance processes, user groups and committees and write technical proposals as needed to pitch Siemens' solutions
  • You develop and maintain a functional product expertise of the Siemens Digital Grid OT and IoT solutions
  • You actively craft the value proposition and positioning of our new products together with the product management and marketing team
  • Moreover, you act as Siemens' evangelist at external events including trade shows, conferences, analyst presentations, journalist meetings, etc.

You have a proven track record in the following areas:

  • You graduated in a technical degree or equivalent and you have long-term experience in sales and business development, ideally with a SaaS background
  • Additionally, you have strong interpersonal skills with a customer focused approach as well as strong IT background or proficiency (not necessarily detailed technical expertise), ideally in the electrical utility sector
  • Your set of skills include deep understanding and passion for the electrical utility sector, ideally with a relevant external network and connections in the European utility market
  • You are comfortable and capable of identifying electric utility future needs in an uncertain environment that changes quickly
  • A sound knowledge of modern grid control technologies, players and key trends is something you can demonstrate
  • Further, you will have a combination of technical competence and the ability to communicate the technical elements in a simple and effective manner, as well as the ability to translate sophisticated technical concepts and technologies into strategic business and customerfocused value propositions
  • You are good in establishing trust with users and to influence key decision makers in the sales cycle
  • Through your "cando" demeanor, you demonstrate yourself as a hardworking and selfstarter. Eager to jump in and get things done but don't get flustered in a fastpaced and often changing environment
  • Furthermore, you must be able to travel approximately 30% of your work time
