YOUR TASKS

Developing methods for visionbased semantic soft tissue tracking in medicine
Working on new machine learning models for tracking and classifying using medical images
Systematic experimental evaluations in lab settings and with real clinical data
Presentation of your results at toptier international conferences and publication in highranking journals

YOUR PROFILE

Master's degree with excellent grades in computer science, mechatronics, or related fields
Very good programming skills, particularly in Python, C/C++ a plus
Excellent knowledge of machine learning methods and tools, e.g., PyTorch
Excellent English language and scientific writing skills are required, German is a plus
Experience with robotic / mechatronic setups and image processing methods is a strong plus
Strong research focus and ability to work independently, project management skills are a plus

OUR OFFER

This position is a joint appointment with the Clinics for ENT at the university hospital UKE
There is a strong interdisciplinary focus, you will hold two 50% positions, being involved in both teams
Outside of duties we offer the opportunity for scientific qualification with the goal to obtain a PhD
You will work on state of the art AI methods with a meaningful purpose
