Our objective is continuous improvement of accounting processes as well as conformity with accounting standards while permanently coordinating and involving the reinsurance segment, international contacts and interfaces.

Within the GPO department (Non-Life), our team has various and diversified engagements within the reinsurance segment.

We manage and reconcile various relationships within the companies of the group, take responsibilities for special and retroactive treaties and assess all relevant questions concerning accounting principles (IFRS, HGB & SII).

We are also part of the Financial Reinsurance Working Group and play a leading role in the implementation of new accounting standards IFRS 9/17 & ESG.

In this dynamic environment, we are looking for a dedicated Financial Accountant for our team to contribute to the new IFRS 9/17 working environment to add value to the following tasks:

Your Job

Participate the R/I segmentwide implementation of the IFRS9 / ESG reporting requirements and functionalities
Contribute to the R/I group internal retrocession tasks while supporting legal entities and units to ensure consistent retro and accounting standards
Support system and infrastructure setup with the aim of continuously optimizing the accounting work and reporting environment
Accompany timely closing activities and tasks including data preparation, monitoring and deviation analyses
Engage in the further improvement and leverage efficiencies within the IFRS 9 / ESG and intercompany and accounting tasks to improve processes while ensuring audit compliance
Collaborate in crossunit and crossdepartmental topics and working groups, willingness to participate in RIA related projects

Your profile

University degree preferably in finance, accounting, business administration with several years of professional experience in the accounting and project environment
Very good accounting knowledge (e.g., IFRS 9/17) including the willingness to adapt to the constantly evolving regulation
Very good analytical and conceptual skills, eagerness to tackle and illustrate complex issues
3+ years of experience in project management, solutionoriented tackling of tasks, as well as openness and willingness to deal with new issues
High motivation and ability to work efficiently and independently as well as flexibility regarding time and project management, paired with intercultural skills in collaborating constructively with colleagues and various interfaces
Distinct ability to work in a team, convincing and confident appearance paired with diplomacy, strong command of spoken and written English and German
