Your area of work
As a working student - Data Analytics (f/m/d) you will support the team in the StatistiX IT department significantly in the are of Data & Analytics.
On our data journey, you will be actively involved in analysis, conception, and engineering of highly diverse project requirements giving you the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, tech-driven environment that adds value to business.
Your responsibilities:
- You will provide support to the selfservice data analytics team by assisting users with technical inquiries and resolving issues
- You will assist in the development and maintenance of reports using Jupyter Notebooks/JupyterLab and/or Zeppelin
- You will support with the creation of clear and concise guidelines for users on data analytics tools and best practices
- In addition, you will collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization
- Furthermore, you will utilize Python, Scala/Java, Spark/Pyspark to develop basic scripts for data analysis and machine learning
Your profile:
- You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state recognized university as a regular student
- You are detailoriented with a willingness to learn and grow and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- You have experience with Jupyter Notebooks/JupyterLab or/and Zeppelin and strong command of Python incl. pandas, basic familiarity in Scala/Java. Preferrable knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation would be an advantage
- You have a good understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals and basic knowledge of concepts such as Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Cloud. Exposure to Spark/Pyspark for data processing and analysis is a plus
- Additionally, you have effective communication skills for user support and guideline writing
- Moreover, you are fluent in written and spoken English
