- financial centers across the globe, with headquarters in Boston, MA, US.


Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Finance Director ("Director") to lead the accounting and financial reporting
- activities of Cambridge Associates GmbH ("CA GmbH") working in our Munich, Germany office. CA GmbH
- is registered in Munich and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cambridge Associates Ltd., London, UK with
- the ultimate parent being Cambridge Associates LLC, registered in B oston, MA, US. CA GmbH holds a
- license by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority ( " BaFin " ) as a medium - sized investment
- firm. The annual financial statements are prepared in compliance with provisions of the German

  • Commercial Code ( " HGB " ) and the German Limited Liabilities Companies Act ( " GmbHG " ). The
- supplementary regulations for credit institutions and the regulation on accounting principles relating to
- financial institutions ( " RechKredV " ) are considered in the preparation of the annual financial statements.

  • CA GmbH has outsourced certain services and functions to other CA companies and / or external service
- providers including bookkeeping, regulatory reporting, financial statement prepar ation and tax se rvices.

  • The Director will be responsib le for the management and oversight of CA Gm b H's accounting systems,
- general ledger functions, financial statements, and regulatory report s, as well as the outsourcing controlling
- of the accounting and financial reporting activities performed by CA and external bookkeepers. The Director
- will work in collaboration with the Accounting & Finance ("A&F") team to consult, recommend and develop
- the accounting functions, and policies and pro cedures in compliance with German generally accepted
- accounting principles ( " German GAAP " ) or HGB, and local rules and regulations such as RechKredV, and
- strengthen controls working in collaboration with teams such as IT, Legal, Compliance, and external
- bookkeepers. The Director will also be responsible for managing the annual audit of CA GmbH. The role
- holds opportunity for development and growth with the potential to lead the accounting and financial
- reporting activities of other CA international offices in the future.

  • The position will report to the Managing Director ("MD") overseeing CA GmbH A&F (Munich, Germany) ,
- and administratively to the Controller of CA (Boston, MA, US ).


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and manage the accounting operations of CA GmbH and all aspects of the general ledger
process, including monthly closings, account reconciliations and analytics, in accordance with
- deadlines
  • Responsible for accurate and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual f inancial and regulatory
reports for CA GmbH in compliance with German GAAP and other applicable regulations- Investigate, review, and analyze monthly financial results to ensure accounting compliance and

accuracy, as well as document variances and explanati ons. M onitor and manage statutory reserve
- levels for regulatory compliance
  • Work in partnership with Financial Planning & Analysis ( " FP&A " ) team to present quarterly financial
results to CA GmbH Directors- Collaborate with Tax team and bookkeeper on the preparation of monthly and annual Value - Added Tax

(" VAT ") advance returns and filing of annual income tax returns, as well as s upport audits and inquiries
- of t ax authorities. Maintain awareness and communicate latest tax changes in the country
  • Monitor, document, and implement new accounting standards and regulations applicable to CA GmbH
  • Manage CA GmbH's external audit to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of all data requests and
ensure total compliance, working in collaboration with global colleagues and external staff

  • Evaluate, document, and maintain all current policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance
- with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Recommend areas of opportunity for improvement
- and implement continual best practices
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Risk ("ER"), A&F and CA GmbH MD to implement and maintain the CA
GmbH risk framework, as
