The location of the role is in: Wiesbaden (other locations in Germany possible)

About the job

In this role you will report to the Group General Counsel and be a legal strategic partner to the Regional President Europe, CIS, and Türkiye, as well as to the Regional President India, West Asia and Africa.

You will work closely with regional and global functions such as Finance, Internal Audit, Digital Transformation and Tax, and you will function in a generalist commercial role.

As a senior member of the legal team you will also contribute to the project management of global multidisciplinary projects.

In addition, your tasks will include

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating all types of international contracts, such as global commercial agreements, partnership agreements, M&A, and more general business contracting support
Providing general advice and counselling on all types of legal matters linked to daily commercial operations
Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the business through providing counsel that is commercial, pragmatic and fully compliant with all relevant statutory regulations

What we expect from you in terms of

Education & Skills

Strong legal background, preferably in German Law (an internationally respected LLM is considered an asset)
Excellent communication skills
Experience in stakeholder management
A cando attitude and ability to prioritize

Languages

English
Proficient/Fluent

German

Proficient/Fluent
Any other language is considered an asset

Work Experience

Extensive legal experience within refractories or in related industries (i.e., cement or in more broadly industrial companies)
