The 10 departments and the research groups at the MPIB work in areas including
biochemistry, structural biology, computational biology, cell biology, biophysics and molecular medicine.

The position is equivalent to that of a tenured, full professorship devoted entirely to research. The offer includes a highly competitive package with substantial, long-term core funding and lab space. The Max Planck Society is Germany's most successful research organization.
