The job:


The mission of the Team Services (TEAM) project is to establish a professional framework for all national teams participating in UEFA EURO 2024 by providing them with the most appropriate services.

Team Services is the main point of contact for all Team related matters before, during and after the Tournament.

The
Team Services Coordinator (M/F/d) will assist the Team Services Team in Frankfurt to provide the best possible support to Participating National Associations (PNA ́s) in Germany in line with UEFA Team Services located at UEFA's headquarter.

Overall responsibility

The Team Services Coordinators in Frankfurt report to the Head of Public Affairs, Host Cities and Team Services and are in close cooperation with UEFA Team Services responsible to ensure an excellent implementation of team related policies and processes before, during and after the UEFA EURO 2024.


This includes among others the following tasks:

  • Support the organisation of workshops & info sessions for (Participating) National Associations
  • General support and monitoring of the contracted team facilities to ensure smooth processes and highest standard for teams
  • Support the planning and implementation of Public Training Sessions during the final tournament
  • Support with the procurement process of relevant material for the teams
  • Support with the implementation of team related procedures at airports and train stations
Communication and cooperation

  • Close cooperation with DFB-Reisebüro, the contracted service provider and in charge of managing and implementing the necessary procedures at the contracted team hotels and training centres
  • Close cooperation and additional point of contact in the Host Cities and in the Team Base Camp venues for UEFA Team Services
  • Point of contact for and cooperation with all EURO 2024/UEFA projects that have an impact on team operations and their needs
Event-time responsibilities

Support the Team Services Team with:

  • Trouble-shooting and problem-solving at airport(s), main stations, training centres, team hotels and for any Team Logistics matters
  • Provide remote support with team activities at the respective venues
Administration

  • Daily reporting to Team Services Team
  • Close coordination with potential suppliers as part of the procurement process and sharing of the PNA calendar and team related processes
  • Supervise and coordinate the Team arrivals and departures at the airports and train stations and liaise with all involved parties
  • Input into debrief and final report of the Team Services Team project in the ten host cities

Education:

Must-have requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or similar in sports events management
  • Full professional proficiency in English (both oral and written) and in the local language of the host country (German).
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with professional sport teams and/or sports national associations
  • Available to travel regularly between Team Facilities (Driver licence mandatory)
Additional requirements

  • Additional language skills (any language spoken by one of the UEFA member associations)
  • Ability to cope with stress and stressful situations
  • Ability to communicate with others and create a climate of trust
  • Ability to draw up a coherent and chronological plan, to establish priorities, to develop a system of control and to readjust the plans
  • Solid acquaintance with the preselected team base camp and team transfer facilities

Work experience:

years experience in the sports world working with professional teams and/or national associations, on large (sports) events or in the sports industry

  • Comfortable working with a high degree of flexibility and autonomy
  • Good knowledge of football administration and football logistics
  • Experience in working in a multicultural environment
