Your working environment

Several processes in the research and development, production and quality control depend on reliable measurements in components or whole vehicles. With our metrology systems and knowhow we support and generate the required data for improvement, verification and validation of virtual methods as well as a deep analysis of the client's challenges. Furthermore, we strive to improve our metrology systems and adapt them to new fields.

Your tasks

1. Literature review on LIBS and model generation
Plan and conduct measurement campaigns
Data sorting a database creation
Model creation and validation
Documentation in form of a thesis/report

Additionally, you support large-scale measurement campaigns in the wind tunnel using Particle Image Velocimetry and small-scale experiments on the particle transport using laser sheet visualization.

Your qualifications

Good to very good academic performance in the area of physics, metrology, optics and photonics or spectroscopy
Practical experience conducting experiments and analyzing data
Knowledge in laser metrology, plasma physics or model creation
Resultoriented, structured and reliable work philosophy
Knowledge of MATLAB or Python are beneficial
Working proficiency in English and/or German

Desired duration: 6-9 months
