For our Journal Production department, we are currently looking for a Project Coordinator (M/F/d) to start in May.

In the Production department, we are responsible for the production of several thousand book and journal projects each year. Furthermore, we continuously strive to optimize and automate our workflows and processes.


We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Project Coordinator (M/F/d) to join our Journal Production department in a full-time capacity at the earliest opportunity.


Tasks and responsibilities:


  • Ensure timely and highquality journal publications in accordance with Springer Nature guidelines and production standards.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments within the company, coordinating with colleagues at all levels of the organization to ensure smooth process execution.
  • Manage your own journal projects, taking responsibility for their timely and highquality implementation. Mentoring & supporting vendor staff, and guide authors & editors as well as publishing colleagues on policies and production standards (copyediting, typesetting, printing)

Job requirements:


  • Ideally, you have training or a degree in media design, media sciences, or publishing.
  • You have experience with print and online publication formats and tools (XML, HTML)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, Latex and PDF
  • Interest in content & process management and workflow systems and their optimization
  • Enjoy working in a global team in a complex, diverse, and constantly changing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
