Your Daily Tasks:

  • Manage the daily/ monthly/ quarterly/ annual accounting activities within Helicopter Seating through all cycles, incl. BuytoPay, RecordtoReport, StattoGAAP, Fixed Assets, Inventory etc. Ensure timely and accurate closing of the books.
  • Lead interaction with external auditors (e.g. statutory audit, tax audit) and tax advisors and coordinate within internal stakeholders to drive a timely completion of audits, tax filings etc.
  • Become interface to US headquarters for all accounting and tax matters.
  • Provide guidance on accounting matters both for US GAAP and HGB
  • Become a key member of the ERP implementation team for Accounting
  • Support the Helicopters business Sarbanes-Oxley program by maintaining, and testing internal controls over financial reporting
  • Leverage technology and tools to drive efficiency in work, increasing the level of standard work
  • Provide sustainable and insightful analysis and reporting of key business metrics and partner with the operating team to drive appropriate actions.

Profile:


  • Qualified Accountant
  • Experience in Accounting & Finance
  • Deep domain expertise in German Stat (HGB) and US GAAP
  • Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers
  • Proficient ERP / IT user skills, specifically MS Excel, Hyperion
  • Fluent command of both German and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (oral and written), interacting with multiple levels across the organization
  • Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
  • Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully lead projects/process improvements within finance function; able to quickly grasp new ideas
  • Demonstrated experience in horizontal leadership, i.e. achieving results without having organizational influence over key stakeholders

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with implementing ERPs
  • Experience in working in multinational corporations with exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements for internal processes, preferably in a manufacturing environment of an international company.
