Job Description:


  • Assist and guide the Product and R&D teams through all datarelated topics during the development of new products and features
  • Act as Compliance specialist and GDPR lead for the departments Product and R&D and serve as a primary contact for all Compliancerelated questions and issues
  • Understand the use of technology in building data protection practices into products and services (e.g. in code reviews)
  • Create and maintain departmentspecific Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
  • Understand how to implement data privacy regulations in daytoday operations
  • Consult the development teams to ensure privacy by design
  • Manage and document the departmentspecific Record of Processing Activities (RoPA)
  • Process the requests for information according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and optimize the associated processes
  • Collaborate closely and consult with our Legal team, our Director Data Protection the Data Protection Officer, as well as department leadership
  • Regulate the access rights to personal data and processes and ensure the deletion of personal data that is no longer required
  • Maintain the departmentspecific supplier list and act as a contact person for the onboarding process of new suppliers including checking Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and Technical Organization Measures (TOMs) for completeness, signature or changes
  • Define and design appropriate organizational measures for possible risks in the handling of personal data and their regular evaluation or review
  • Develop Data Protection training for the department
  • Collaborate closely with the department leadership to ensure processes are part of the department culture

Qualifications:


  • Affinity to IT systems, IT topics and R&D processes
  • Ideally system administrator or network architect skills
  • Affinity to legal issues, in particular GDPRtopics
  • 35 years professional experience, ideally in the field of governance, risk and compliance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical skills, team mentality and a structured way of working round off your qualifications
  • Fluency in English and German is mandatory, further languages are a plus
