A vacancy for a "Future Projects Systems Architect" has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. We are looking for an experienced Systems Architect to join the Future Projects Platform Systems Team. The successful applicant will be involved in several projects like Eurodrone, FCAS or UAS.

(This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks)

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Elicit and validate system/product requirements and architectures whilst considering the complete system lifecycle.
Define and perform relevant Tradeoffs to identify requirements impact and select the integrated Air Vehicle Platform Systems concepts and initial architectures.
Validate the Air Vehicle Platform Systems Architecture against overall aircraft architecture requirements, integration constraints and to aircraft development logic.
Coordination and validation of the analysis, integration and allocation of overall platform systems concepts.
Identification and validation of relevant solutions in an iterative process in close interaction with relevant stakeholders in centre of competences and internal or external partners & customers.
Evaluation of new technologies and innovative overall platform systems concepts with respect to usability in our concepts and identification of key technologies.
Lead system analysis and modelling using appropriate modelling methods and tools.
Creation of deliverables, technical documentation, specifications and presentation of results and concepts for internal and external stakeholders.
Technical Management of work packages with respect time, quality and cost.

Desired skills and qualifications:

The applicant should feel comfortable in an uncertain or new environment.

Degree in Engineering (Aerospace Engineering/ Aircraft Design)
Several years of experience in Platform Systems Engineering
Several years of experience in System Engineering/ System Architecture
Participation and/or leadership of international projects are required (transnational experience).
High capability to think out of the box and to challenge the status quo.
You should feel comfortable in an uncertain or new environment.
Fluent English
