THE CHALLENGE:


The Head of Risk Management is responsible for leading the Enterprise Risk Management ("ERM") function and developing the risk culture for Sportradar.

The incumbent will report to executive management and will liaise with employees across the business as well as the board of directors, in an effort to proactively and collaboratively drive the risk culture at Sportradar consistent with the company's risk appetite.


The incumbent will:

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive process for identification, assessing, monitoring and mitigating pertinent risks that could adversely impact the company's goals and objectives;
  • Participate in the development and leadership of efforts to effectively lead incident and event management.
  • Formulate, enhance and manage risk management policies, practices, technology, tools, and governance.
  • Collaborate with executives and the board of directors, as appropriate, to promulgate a robust risk framework that will allow identification, monitoring and reporting on key risks.
  • Assess risks in the context of the Company's risk appetite statement.
  • Actively monitor the regulatory landscape and ensure obligations are fulfilled and ensure readiness for audits and other activities.
  • Drive promulgation of business continuity and contingency plans and ensure governance policies and practices are timely, accurate, and appropriately disseminated.
  • Provide clear and concise verbal and written recommendations and guidance to internal stakeholders on matters of operational risk management.
  • Oversee board and executive reporting systems to ensure timely identification of reporting of risk related matters and ensure prompt and timely escalation and follow through of critical issues. Provide regular updates to executive leadership and the Board.
  • Lead the enterprise risk management team, with emphasis on mentorship and development of talent.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or the experience equivalent with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience working in operational risk, a control function (e.g., Risk, Compliance, Finance/Controllers or Audit). Experience in a technology organization is highly beneficial, as are applicable industry or professional certifications in risk management.
  • Visionary, strategic and agile leader, with demonstrated team leadership experience. A relationship builder, able to diplomatically communicate, collaborate and drive results across competitive priorities, as required. Can effectively challenge all levels of management.
  • Demonstrated success driving change management related to risk/control initiatives.
  • Experience developing and deploying risk management frameworks and risk and control programs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in process design.
  • Ability to present with impact and build consensus across senior stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on site, in a fastpaced environment with a focus on delivery.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations, around the world, as necessary.
