Your role


You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of data governance on enterprise level and contribute to the success of the digital transformation at ZEISS.

As a Senior Data Standard Expert (M/F/x), you will break down data silos and create interoperability to improve data integrity and maximize the use of shared resources.

You will be part of a larger team focused on building clear data governance guidelines in line with the company's data strategy and ambition to become a data-driven organization In this function, you will first run an as-is analysis to establish a road-map for data standards at ZEISS.

You will then steer internal data standardisation initiatives in close collaboration with data owners and data stewards and will provide moderation of activities in compliance with the standardisation governance framework that you will define and maintain.

You will also represent ZEISS in cross-business relevant external data standardisation working groups.


Profile:


  • An excellent university degree in computer science, business informatics, business administration, engineering, mathematics, or in a related field 5+ years of demonstrated ability in an organisation with largescale data governance, management, quality, and standardisation operations
  • Strong experience leading large multifunctional data programs/projects
  • Deep knowledge and experience in industryleading data governance, frameworks, and standards (e.g., ISO, DMBOK, DCAM, CDMC)
  • Experience working with standard development organisations or within industry associations is a plus
  • Knowledge of data FAIRification processes
  • Sound knowledge of major business IT systems like CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce), Data warehouse (e.g., Teradata, Oracle) and cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure), data catalogue and data governance technical solutions (e.g., Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to bring various stakeholders to consensusbased decisions
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving skills, and conceptional thinking paired with the ability to understand multiple interdependencies
  • Excellent English skills, German is a plus
