George's School seeks an experienced professional to support the development of academic structures in the Secondary School to start in August 2023.

The British National Curriculum is taught throughout the school, and we offer IGCSEs in Upper School and the IB Diploma and Career Related Programme in our Sixth Form.

The Role:

We seek to appoint an experienced Head of Teaching & Learning.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and forward thinking professional, who is able to ensure that the highest expectations for teaching and learning are maintained.

The Head of Teaching & Learning for the Secondary School will liaise closely with all relevant members of the Secondary School Management Team to align on a Secondary School curriculum that facilitates a smooth transition from the Primary School.

Both Heads of Teaching and Learning will work closely together to ensure continuity and quality across the whole school curricula and teaching practices.

Fluency in English and familiarity with the English National Curriculum are a prerequisite. A strong desire to contribute to the rich extra-curricular life of The School is also an advantage.

  • A copy of your degree certificate and teaching qualification.
All applicants should hold a valid teaching qualification. We consider a degree in education (e.g. B.Ed./M.Ed./Lehramt), or postgraduate teaching certificate (e.g. PGCE) as valid. English language teaching certificates (e.g. TEFL/IELTS/CELTA) are not sufficient.
