Faculty II - Institute of Mathematics / Analysis and Applications

Tasks

Cooperation in research and teaching, especially in the field of Inverse Problems (research on numerical methods for inverse scattering problems in waveguides).

Conducting courses (4 SWS for full-time students), especially exercises for mathematical majors. Supervision of seminars and students and their theses.

Requirements:

Completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in Mathematics or a closely related course of studies
Knowledge in the field of numerical methods for partial differential equations
Knowledge in the field of numerical methods for optimization problems
Good coding skills (for example in matlab)
The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
Ability to work in a team
