LINUX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (M/F/d) _- Full time

Data Management unit to start as soon as possible. Since the great demand
for the data analysis regarding the development of novel vaccines, including Covid-19 vaccines, our Linux
systems have expanded significantly. For this reason we are looking for a Linux expert who can prove his/her
experience for the smooth operation of our Linux systems as well as their expansion to support our
users/groups.

patient lives.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
Administration, configuration and support of Linux based IT landscape and software
Maintenance of TRON's own HPC cluster
Installation of scientific software and package management as well as virtual environments
Development of sustainable and reproducible solutions that support the Bioinformatics department in
processing complex bioinformatics issues
Analysis and optimization of performance and troubleshooting
Support of all HPC users and continuous contact to provider
What you bring:
Degree (BA, MSc) in bioinformatics, informatics, computer science or any comparable study program or
certified job training (German Fachinformatiker level or equivalent)
Profound working experience in Linux administration, HPC-Cluster management and parallelization
Basic knowledge of network administration, IT security, virtualization and experience with the CentOS 7/9
distributions are welcome
Safe handling of common scripting languages: bash, Python or R
Profound knowledge in Puppet, Git/GiLab, Bash, SLURM, DOCKER would be a plus
Any further experience in working with biological data are welcome
Good English and German communication skills (written and spoken)
