Our compensation package:
€110,000, composed of €90,000 - €97,000 in yearly salary, €7,500 - €15,000 in equity, and up to €5,000/year in company benefits

Your role:


You will lead Orbem's people and operations strategy to successfully navigate our next phase of growth. As the Head of People and Operations, you will manage the people and operations team within Orbem while working closely with our leadership team to develop and implement our people, talent, and operational strategies. You will also help inspire the most talented people to join the Orbem Team and support them in unleashing their potential.


Your day to day:


You will be focusing on the following areas:


  • Mentorship:Guide and support the People and Ops team

People & Talent Strategy:Ensure we continue finding and hiring the best talent

Employer Branding: Continue building a brand around deep tech for impact

People Development:Enhance the knowledge, skills, abilities, and potential of the team

Digitization & Automation:Devise strategies to automatically collect and build intelligence from people and operational data

People Analytics: Leverage data to enhance our performance as a team

Policy & Guidelines: Ensure a safe, productive, consistent, and ethical work environment

Talent acquisition and people management

  • You have 5+ years of experience overseeing the recruitment and selection process
  • You are a champion in talent acquisition (e.g. innovative sourcing strategies, planning career fairs etc.)
  • You have led employee engagement efforts, including career development, and employee recognition programs
  • You have been involved in the whole recruitment lifecycle
  • You have a good understanding of German HR practices, labor law, and regulations

Operational efficiency

  • You have assessed and optimized operational processes across various departments
  • You have implemented and improved operational policies, systems, and procedures to support an organization's growth
  • You have analyzed and leveraged data to make informed decisions and recommendations for operational improvements

Leadership and communication skills

  • You have assumed leadership roles in the past
  • You have helped mentor and motivate your team
  • You are fluent in German and English
  • You leverage your critical thinking and analytical skills in decision making
  • You are an excellent communicator
  • You are able to conduct yourself in a professional manner when dealing with external service providers
  • You have previous experience working in a fastpaced environment and scaling up a team
  • Already based in Munich
