The German Cancer Research Center is the largest biomedical research institution in Germany. With more than 3,000 employees, we operate an extensive scientific program in the field of cancer research.

For the Division of Applied Functional Genomics we are seeking a PhD student in the field of gene fusion-driven sarcoma research to start as soon as possible.

The Division of Applied Functional Genomics (Head: Prof. Dr.

In particular, our mission is to improve the understanding of sarcomas and other rare cancers, as the biology of these diseases is often unknown, ultimately leading to few treatment options and a poor prognosis for the often young patients affected.
