Assistant Headteacher Secondary School:

Innovative, curious and futureoriented. The Klax School in Pankow is a staterecognised and bilingual allday school. From the first to the thirteenth grade, we work according to the internationally recognised concept of Klax pedagogy. The school's content focus is on art and digitalisation. We learn in projects and teach very successfully with the learning management system MS Office 365 Teams. We are proud to have won second place in the German School Award in 2021.

At the Secondary School, we continue the "self-organised learning" begun during Primary School. The students know how to assess their level of competence and plan their learning paths independently. They further consolidate the self-responsible learning attitude for their own educational path.

To strengthen our future-oriented team, we are looking for an Assistant Headteacher (M/F/d) for our Secondary School in a permanent position as soon as possible.

Your tasks:

Management of the Secondary School with 280 pupils and approx. 22 teachers
Further development of the Secondary School
Management of the implementation of the school concept and the school focus in the Secondary School
Control of substitution and room planning
Control of the deployment of staff (M/F/d)
Conducting team meetings
Guidance of the learning family coordinators (M/F/d)
Carrying out admissions interviews
Participation in school committee work and implementation of resolutions
Cooperation with other schools and school partners on behalf of the school management
Organisation of the implementation of the examinations and final examinations in the area of responsibility

Your profile:

A completed teaching degree or a teaching qualification recognised by the Senate or a lateral entry at secondary schools or grammar schools
Several years of professional or management experience in the school system
Very good knowledge of the school law
Experience in the field of public schools desirable
Enthusiasm for the field of school development
Enjoyment in the further development of pedagogical approaches
Identification with the values and principles of a pedagogy that focuses on the individual development of the child
Didacticmethodical diversity in teaching
Experience and pleasure in working with digital media
Teamoriented way of working
Very good knowledge of German and English
Commitment, creativity and strong communication skills coupled with a natural authority
