At the Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology (HIF), innovative technologies for the circular economy are developed to provide and use mineral and metal-bearing raw materials more efficiently and to recycle them in an environmentally friendly way.


Your tasks:


  • Development of PU additive and polymer selective peptides
  • Development of a microplastic and nanoplastic detection assay
  • Upscaling of PU degradation / feed bioenergy plant
  • AI-LCA of plastic fragments

Your profile:


  • Completed university studies (PhD) in the field of Biology/Biotechnology or related field
  • Relevant professional experience (35 years) in the specified area
  • Experiences in Molecular biology with Phage surface display technology
  • Knowledge in Bioinformatic analysis and Bioprocessengineering
  • Optional: Experiences in machine learning and LCA
  • Ability to work in a team and very good written and spoken English skills
