PhD position (f/m/x): Investigation of mechano-electrochemical behaviour of Si/Carbon composite electrodes

Your tasks

Development and characterization of Si/C anodes and investigation of mechanoelectrochemical responses and degradation phenomena
Preparation and optimization of slurry formulations and electrodes in lab environment
Development of advanced electrochemical test configurations for probing mechanoelectrochemical responses, in particular under fastcharge conditions
Establishing fundamental understanding of degradation mechanism of Si/C anodes, e.g. by causeeffectcorrelations
Close collaboration with our (pre)development teams for next steps in cell development in the field of LIB batteries

Collaboration requires a commitment to scientific supervision by a university or research institution authorized to award doctorates. The thesis is defined jointly with the supervising professorship.

Your skills

Master's degree in material science, industrial engineering, chemistry, physics, or comparable education profiles
High affinity to experimental tasks and willingness to do a deep dive in battery cell chemistry
Good communication skills, teamminded, ability to work independently
