Novaliq is a Heidelberg based specialty pharmaceutical company founded in 2007 and focused on ophthalmology with a
global presence of our products. Our mission is to transform topical ocular therapies for all key indications in eye care. Novaliq's
proprietary EyeSol technology platform enhances the local bioavailability, stability and safety of traditionally insoluble or unstable
molecules improving the delivery, efficacy and comfort of ocular therapies. The technology is validated by marketed products
sold under the brand names EvoTears and NovaTears in Europe and Australia. Two of our first-in-class water-free dry eye
disease drugs with distinct modalities of action, CyclASol and NOV03, are in FDA review for New Drug Applications in the USA
with expected approvals in June 2023. We have a rich pipeline of potential breakthrough innovations and have selected topical

Biopharmaceutical Research & Development
Your main responsibilities

• You play a key role in the discovery and research of

peptide/protein drug (pre-) formulations.

• You provide handson work in product formulation,

development and implementation of validated analytical
methods and stability investigations.

• You assess tissue penetration and bioavailability potentials

team and share knowledge, expertise and recommendations
on formulations development in cross-functional and
multi-national teams.

• You are responsible for maintaining the general lab and

instruments, as well as assessment of technical equipment
needs (for example new instruments).

• You drive and complete projects independently, but

contribute to the company and department objectives.

• You think out of the box to solve medical problems, are

creative but get things done at the same time.

• You report to the Vice President Analytical Development,

a member of the Executive team.


Profile:

• Completed vocational training as Laboratory Technician

(M/F/d) or a university degree in the field of Biochemistry
with minimum 5-year working experience in a relevant
Protein Biochemistry setting, preferably in a pharmaceutical
company

• Good understanding and knowledge of the Biopharmaceutical/Biotech Industry including extensive knowledge of

relevant ICH guidelines and manufacturing under GMP

• Expertise in protein research and characterization with

keen analytical and problem-solving skills; expertise in
protein stability, structure or biophysics

• Professional expertise and troubleshooting proficiency

with chromatographic (HPLC-DAD and HPLC-MS, column
chromatography) is a must, including method development
and validation

• Handson experience in biophysical techniques (UV-VIS,

CD, DSC, ELISA, FTIR, Fluorescence, particle analysis, etc.)

• Strong collaborative team spirit, selfmotivated and track

record of reporting skills

• Strong, open and constructive communication skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

and German
