We are currently looking for a
Technical Service Leader to join us at our facility in
the area of Berlin (Grünheide).



Key responsibilities:


  • Reports formally to Paint Shop Manufacturing Manager & Paint Shop CME Manager.
  • Liaison daily with Paint Shop Manufacturing Manager, PAM's, P/L's, G/L's, Associates, Maintenance, ME, CME, New Model Launch & other onsite 1st & 2nd tier contractors.
  • First point of contact/Interface between Paint Shop Management team & Axalta.
  • Maintain effective working relationships & act in the best interests of the Company (Axalta) & the Customer at all times.
  • Generation of Policy Deployment Cascade (agreed SMART Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & Environmental objectives in line with Technical Service level agreement & Paint Shop CME target setting).
  • Manage the team in such a way as to ensure we operate within the recognised customer operating system guidelines & 'Policy & Procedure' guidelines at all times.
  • Establish, review & update of all team agreed Roles & Responsibilities.
  • Health & Safety & Environmental compliance of all onsite associates.
  • Effective accident & incident reporting, including investigations & recognised reporting.
  • Ensure team compliance with all applicable Laws & Legislations in respect to all areas of Account Manager Responsibility.
  • Employee selection, training, assessment, recognition & succession planning.
  • Ensure provision of effective manning & technical knowledge at all times to satisfy both internal & external customer needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable reporting procedures for both internal & external customer needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable internal & external bodies auditing procedures (ISR, UTAC, MQOS, TS16949, ISO14001, CRIM, SPC, Fire etc.).
  • Monitor product by product usages & FTT performance for Purchasing review meetings.
  • Lead & document Axalta 'Supplier Review' cadence with Paint Shop CME
  • Recognised problem solving/reporting techniques & feedback in line with customer expectation.
  • Carry out any other reasonable requests/duties.

Qualifications/requirements

  • Knowledge of paint industry (Completed vocational training as a paint laboratory technician as well as further training to become a paint technician, master painter or comparable training as well as relevant professional experience).
  • Professional experience in various customer plants Knowledge of the systems and painting processes in automobile plants or the relevant suppliers
  • Chemistry knowledge
  • Team management experience
  • Product knowledge
  • English language
  • German language (desirable)
  • Good comprehension and analytical skills combined with a high solution orientation and quick reaction times.
  • Good communication skills
  • Applicationrelated IT knowledge
