You want to be part of future renewable energy transformation into a world where hydrogen plays a major role in our industry? As a member of the R&D leadership team, you will be involved in setting the strategic direction of the future portfolio and technology roadmap for Siemens Energy's Electrolyzer business and you will provide valuable groundwork for future products and technology developments with your testing team.

You will coordinate cross-site testing areas and be responsible for the mid
- and long-term testing strategy, infrastructure and staff planning.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Technical and disciplinary management of the Testing & Validation department in the area of electrolysis development and a leadership span of 20 employees
  • Strategic planning and coordination of several and in the future also international test sites
  • Responsibility for the electrolysis test rig fleet from kW to MW range at two locations
  • Responsibility for resources and personnel planning
  • Definition of test procedures, quality standards and safety concepts based on DoE methods
  • Implementation of digitalization projects to connect test stands and utilize test and field data
  • Introduction of new test processes and test rigs under consideration of budget, schedule, quality standards and safety concepts
  • Member of the R&D leadership circle and directly reporting to Vice President R&D

What You Bring

  • Successfully completed technical studies
  • Many years of professional experience in the field of testing, test benches and large electrical systems
  • Extensive knowledge of test procedures in product development and digitalization of test fields
  • Initial experience in the field of plant engineering desirable
  • Ideally, knowledge of (PEM) electrolyzers or other hydrogencarrying plants and test stands
  • Strong leadership skills, communication skills and assertiveness required as well as experience in leading a development team
  • Willingness to work in interdisciplinary teams to develop joint innovative solutions
  • Very good written and spoken English, German language skills in spoken and written form
