The at Helmholtz Munich is recruiting a highly motivated lab technician (f/m/x) to join our team.

Your tasks

  • Handling sample submissions and quality control of samples for genotyping and nextgeneration sequencing (RNA, DNA, final libraries)
  • Processing different Illumina arrays for genotyping and methylation (manually and/or with liquid handling robots)
  • Operation of Illumina genotyping machines (iScan, Autoloader)
  • Troubleshooting of technical problems in the sample preparation and genotyping workflows
  • Establishment of new genotyping arrays and workflows
  • Support the NGS workflow (library prep and operation of Illumina sequencers)
  • Support the seamless operation of the core (e.g., ordering, regular instrument QC, supply management)

Profile:


  • Technical school training as lab technician (MTA, BTA, CTA) or bachelor's degree in biology/biotechnology or a related field
  • Wetlab experience and molecular biology lab skills
  • Experience in working with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Team player with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset, able to work in an international environment
  • Written and oral communication skills in English and German
  • Prior handson experience with Illumina genotyping arrays is a plus (training on robotics and Illumina genotyping instrumentation will be provided when necessary)
