Full-Professorship (W3) in "Mathematical Statistics" (f/m/d)

The research interests of a successful applicant should complement the existing research groups at the Institute for Mathematics in the area of Mathematical Statistics.

We are looking for a mathematician with an excellent research track record, for example in statistical learning, high-dimensional statistical inference or related areas.

In the context of the university's excellence strategy, applicants are expected to engage with existing and new collaborative research initiatives and to play an active role in obtaining third party funding.

Applicants are expected to have an excellent publication and research record. Participation in the administrative tasks of the institute and the faculty is expected, as well teaching at all levels.

This includes especially the planned Masters program "Mathematics of Machine Learning and Data Science",_ _but also to partake in the provision of the foundational mathematics modules.
