    Beschreibung

    Working at DB Systel GmbH means actively shaping the digitalization of the Deutsche Bahn and significantly influencing the future of the corporation. We are a diverse team that conducts self-organized and agile consulting based on digitalization strategies. We implement our projects with a holistic view of the organization and IT management. Our cross-functional, neutral, and product-independent consulting and support set us apart.

    As part of the Sales Solutions Operations unit, we are in a growing market for sales services. To meet current and future customer requirements and to serve our partners operationally with service delivery while also advising them tactically/strategically, we are establishing a new team for service and operational tasks. We collaborate closely with our partners to develop solutions based on innovative technologies and agile methods in and for the Cloud. Your support is needed for this. We are currently looking for an Application Manager in AWS Cloud (f/m/d) at the Senior level for DB Systel. You can choose to work from one of our locations in Berlin, Erfurt, or Frankfurt am Main, or mostly remote. Our team meets in Frankfurt once a month for 2 days, more frequently if project requirements demand.

    This is a 'Work from Wherever' job: In agreement with your supervisor, you can decide where within Germany you want to work and choose between remote work and office work. Your official office location will be documented in your employment contract - if there are multiple advertised locations, it will be determined through discussion between you and your supervisor.



    Your Responsibilities:

    • You ensure the ongoing operation and optimization of mission-critical and highly available applications, primarily utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS Cloud)
    • To ensure quality in operations, you contribute to monitoring and testing concepts, implement them, and regularly adjust them to meet new requirements
    • You are also part of our 24/7 on-call duty rotation
    • You participate in meetings to plan and further develop CI/CD pipelines, API platforms, Application Services, and Cloud Management platforms and infrastructure with the team
    • With pragmatism, courage, and ample room for creativity, you independently develop new solutions with the team, institutionalize processes, and create meaningful synergies
    • You contribute to designing operational architectures in the Cloud, ensuring efficient and secure container management and optimized use of AWS Cloud infrastructure


    Your Profile:

    • You have successfully completed a degree in (business) informatics or a similar qualification
    • You have several years of professional experience in the technical application operation of applications in AWS Cloud, managing complex application architectures, and proactive incident management
    • We value your broad knowledge of highly available IT architectures and design, willingness for continuous development towards Cloud Native operations
    • You are proficient in various deployment methods from Infrastructure-as-Code to container orchestration, which you can bring to the table and further develop with us
    • You possess skills in AWS (EKS, RDS, S3, etc.), Git, Networking, Storage, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Flux, Helm, TypeScript
    • Your methodical, structured, independent approach, high team orientation, and agile mindset set you apart
    • You have fluent German and ideally English language skills for negotiation
