As a Senior Expert (M/F/d) you are part of our international team in Product Development, which is based in Germany and Norway.

In this diverse area of responsibility between classical electrical engineering and alternative energy sources, you will always have an eye on the overall system in order to optimize it.

With your commitment to Siemens Energy, you will make an important contribution to decarbonization in the maritime as well as onshore and offshore sector.

How You'll Make anImpact

Responsibility for the overall system and close cooperation with internal and external partners to find optimal technical and commercial solutions
Participation in national and international funding projects and studies
Creating and reviewing technical documents, such as protection concepts
Identifying and evaluating risks and opportunities, for example in planning and participating in system tests and commissioning
Solving electrical, electromagnetic and thermal problems by FEM simulation

What You Bring

Successfully completed degree in electrical engineering or power engineering with a focus on drive technology / power electronics / electrical machine or a comparable qualification
Many years of professional experience in the development of electrical drive and power systems
Sound experience with alternative electrical energy sources
Confident handling of simulation platforms such as MATLAB/Simulink or Simplorer as well as programming in Python and C
Practical technical experience in an industrial environment
Very good knowledge of German and English as well as excellent teamwork skills in virtual and global teams
