Product Owner Digital Engineering FCAS System / Software
We are looking for a product owner to lead the roll-out of process methods and tools for engineering.


The mission of the Digital Engineering Team is to boost effective real time collaboration across organisations, sites, partners and suppliers through lean processes and joint development platforms to meet the program targets.

We orchestrate the digital transformation within the perimeter of Engineering with a 1st priority on the various DDMS initiatives.


The successful applicant will serve as the customer proxy for digital engineering teams and will ensure the timely delivery of the process, methods and tools for the scope of system, software, integrity/certification and technical management processes.

The responsibility includes the coordination and reporting on behalf of various engineering implementation teams, monitoring of IT infrastructure and tool deployment as well as the deployment of necessary training, support and change management activities.

Accountability

  • Delivery of process, methods and tools for the FCAS program as well as the corresponding workflow and data models, documentation, training material, support.
Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Support in requirements capture and translation of business needs from Chief Engineering office into a business requirement dossier
  • Prepare and maintain a work breakdown structure, implementation roadmap and deliverables backlog throughout the lifecycle
  • Perform workload, budget and resource planning for the entire team
  • Support technical project manager in the identification and management of risks
  • Execute, monitor and report on the implementation roadmap
  • Define KPIs and dashboards to report on time, cost & quality
  • Manage product changes through product increments
  • Continuously improve the way of working through retrospective

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Master ́s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business or comparable
- (Agile) Project management including earned value management

  • Working experience in an agile / scrum teams and frameworks (SAFe is plus)
  • Experience of working in an international team environment
  • Team leadership
  • Experience in continuous improvement and change management (e.g. Lean / Six Sigma, Airbus LBIP, DRIVER)
  • In depth knowledge of system and software development process and tools (ARP 4754)
  • Good knowledge of MBSE and ISO1528
  • Good knowledge of cloud technologies and DevOps concepts
  • Good knowledge of military working environment and impact on digitalisation (e.g. security, export control, partner / supplier relationships, national customer needs)
  • Knowledge of digital transformation concepts and technologies (e.g. IOT, Industry 4.0, Digital Twin) is a plus
  • Knowledge of PLM / PDM is a plus
  • Proactive and cooperative management style, excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills, strategic and structured thinking
  • Fluency in English + nice to have German, Spanish and/or French skills
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
