What you can expect
The packaging team at the Bad Vilbel site ensures the processing of our products into a form that can be sold to our customers in pharmacies.
As part of the production departments, packaging is one of the core areas of the site with interfaces to all other local teams.
- As Deputy Head of Packaging you take over responsibility for several areas of the operational decision making, ensuring safety, quality and production volumes. Furthermore, you lead and drive projects on behalf of the packaging department.
- You deputize the Head of Packaging for specific projects and topics or during absence
- You act as one of the registered deputy "Leiter der Herstellung", that means you take over legal responsibility according to 12 AMWHV
- You check and release packaging batch documentations
- You describe, investigate and follow up on nonconformances and deviations regarding product quality
- You represent the packaging department during audits by authorities and customers
- You create, check and release standard operation procedures (SOPs)
- You are present on the shopfloor, you constantly look out for improvements in terms of efficiency, quality and safety and you ensure adherence to standards, SOPs and packaging instructions
- You lead and drive implementation and improvement projects
- You represent the packaging department in improvement/implementation/CAPEX projects, in regular meetings and in escalation calls
- You drive the volume plan execution, you support where help is needed to make the plan happen, you escalate and involve other departments where necessary
- You support with job interviews and the selection and onboarding of new hires
- You perform data analyses using SAP and Excel, you report KPIs
Who we are looking for
- You hold a university degree in science, engineering or business
- You have thorough experience in the pharmaceutical industry, working in a GMP controlled environment, preferably in production
- You have experience in leading a team (operationally or disciplinarily)
- You show the required sense of urgency, actively driving topics and constantly following up accordingly; you have the desire to make aspired results happen
- You have thorough project management experience
- You demonstrate ownership throughout, you are aware of your responsibility and act accordingly
- You are a very effective communicator, you can adapt to your audience and adjust your communication style from the shopfloor to top management
- You enjoy cooperating with other teams and departments, you find solutions even if there are seemingly conflicting interests
- You are fluent both in German and in English
- You have thorough Microsoft Excel skills, you can analyze data effectively and efficiently
- You can quickly familiarize yourself with new software through learning by doing
